Today's Weight: 217.4 lbs
5 Day Average: 217.6 lbs
Weight Loss Needed for Goal: 7.4 lbs
As I stated in my previous blog I'm going back to how I started this. My eating was pretty good over the weekend. I didn't eat like I did in the beginning with 4-6 meals a day, but I still feel good about the calorie intake. I am staying strong with the no drinking, I actually was around it all weekend, and didn't have a drink. It's funny, because all my friends don't understand it, it's about will power and health. I actually like not drinking, I don't feel like sh*t in the morning and I am a lot more productive.
Anyways, it's been great stepping on the scale the last two days, I saw a 216.6 and and 217.4, both of which aren't 218.0 which I saw for 4 day's straight. My workout was good today, except my hip seems to be stiff. I don't know what's going on, but it isn't affecting me too much. I squated 215 today so I'm almost up to my body weight.
As for going back to the basics, I took new pictures today (I am really starting to see a difference) and I took new measurments. They are:
Neck: 15 in.
Chest: 41 in.
Gut: 38.5 in.
Waist: 37.5 in.
One last note, it has now been over 5 months without a cigarette and 4 months 1 week without tobacco all together. I feel really good about that. I hope everyone is doing well, and hope to read about it. Have a great week everyone!

From the looks of your blog things are going great for you. With the choices your making you weight has no where to go but down. Congrats on being smoke and chew free man!! think how much life you are adding on and how much money you are saving. Plus you probably smell better too ;). Keep doing what your doing.
Jason, you are doing good man. 5 months without a cigarette is great...definitely keep that up because smoking is a disgusting habit. I smoked a pack a day for years and my wife and I quit when we got married. It was one of the hardest things I've done in my life and I still get a craving here or there...but haven't had a smoke in over 5 years.
I was talking with a trainer a while back about smoking, because when I quit that seemed to spur my weight gain. She explained to me that for every cigarette that you smoke each day, you burn an additional 15 calories. So when you think about it, smoking a pack a day burns almost the equivalent of walking on a treadmill for 30 minutes.
Didn't mean to hijack here...just wanted to say that since you have been tobacco free and have seen good progress...you are headed in the right direction. Good going.
