Keep On Keepin' On

Today's Weight: 210.6
Weight Loss Needed: 0.6 lbs
5 Day Average: 211.7

My diet has still be spot on, I haven't slipped up once in about two weeks now. I probably could be eating a little more veggies, but oh well. Workouts however are a totally other story. I don't know if you guys remember me saying that I sort of tweaked my right hip and hamstring so I haven't been doing squats this week. I told myself that I was going to take one week off and it's been pretty hard because I feel like I don't get as good of a work out in without the squats.

Also, this weekend I got really sick and it's still all in my nose and head. I can honestly say the worst part of my weight loss progress has been my cardio. I haven't done and HIIT in about two weeks, and it just seems as though I keep finding excuses not to do them. Right now I honestly can't but last week I should have been all about it. So, once this cold passes I'm going to have to get on myself to get to the gym and get some good HIIT, and just good cardio sessions in general in.

In regards to Ripx post, I have pictures....however, I'm still really self-conscious about them. I still need a lot of work done on my torso seeing as that is where I hold the majority of my fat especially in my boobs and belly...We'll see though, maybe next week I'll post them.

In news unrelated to health my second favorite team in the NHL is kicking the crap out of my 2nd to last favorite team in the playoffs. Go Penguins! Also, my least favorite team is kicking the crap out of the Stars, so hopefully the Stars can beat the Red Wings a couple of times to fatigue them a little before they play the Penguins!! I'm planning on getting tickets for my brother and myself for game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals as it is almost assured that it will be the Penguins vs Red Wings. I will have to break my no going to the Joe policy that I've held strong for over 10 years now.

Hope everyone has a great day!

With regards to your question about how I calculate BF %:

I have one of the handheld body fat measuring devices. It's not 100% accurate, but it's pretty consistent if I use it at the same time every day. I've used it since I started this whole thing, and it's been consistent throughout. It might be a percentage point or two off in either direction but that's okay, I mostly use it to make sure I'm losing fat and not just weight.

HIIT and Cardio are very boring and pretty easy to just say "forget'bout'it", but they got their place in fat loss.

You may see if you can do some lunges in place of the squats or even split squats. But it is probably best just to let it heal and recover.

You can still keep your streak in tact, just go to the first game in Pittsburgh instead...but be sure to inform everybody that Pitt Sucks!

Um.. Go Wings? :)

Just take care of your body though - you're going to need it once you're healthy. I'm with you on the hip thing - I'm really not looking forward to getting it checked out.
