Today's Weight: 205.4 lbs
5-day Average: 204.0 lbs
Inconsistent is how I would describe my whole weight loss regiment...
So, I'm going to put it all out there why I have been inconsistent and what I have to do to remedey the situation.
1.) Not getting enough sleep/going to bed to late... This one is easy to solve, I need to start going to bed at a reasonable time and not pushing the bed time back. I usually don't get enough sleep because I'm going to bed so late. I think I'm going to set a maximum bedtime of 11:30 pm during the week.
2.) Getting f*cked up to often... I should have seen this one coming a mile away. After taking the entire month of May off, I started to miss having a couple of beers while watching a game or something and it has sort of spilled over into drinking just while watching tv...So I'm going to say no more getting f'ed up during the week, no more drinking at all during the week unless there is a special occasion. This will also help me get more sleep and a higher quality of sleep.
3.) Sleeping in to much... This is due to #1 and #2 but when I get the chance to sleep, I am sleeping away the day. I think this in turn makes me fall asleep later the next night...(inconsistent sleeping patterns). So, even if I have the day off or don't have to wake up at the normal time I will allow myself only 2 hours extra sleep time, so when I work I usually get up at 7-8 am, this means I can only sleep until 9-10am on my off.
4.) Eating like crap... This is really easy to fix. I need to start planning all my meals again. It's funny how simple the things we need to do are, but how hard it is to follow. Also, I need to eat more often so I don't allow myself to get so hungry that I eat whatever whenever. I seem to be having some sweet tooth cravings, but I don't want to have any sugar...if someone can think of something that I can eat every now and then that isn't that bad and isn't loaded in sugar I'd appreciate hearing about it.
5.) Not working out as scheduled... I have already taken steps to help this. I have printed out a workout sheet, and I am going to start filling it in. If I don't get a workout in there is going to be a blank space and that is going to piss me off when I look at it.
So those are some of the things that I am doing and what I plan on doing to fix the problem. I also just went out and bought a new multivitamin and well make sure I am taking that everyday. Also, I am going to try to drink 80 oz of water a day. I'm trying to get refocused in on the process. It's the same as day one, however with each pound that I lose it seems as though I getting a little less focused because I'm starting to feel good about the way I look. I don't want to be to lax yet though.
Hope everyone is having a solid week, and stay strong!

I'm the same way about going to bed too late and sleeping away some days. I have gotten into the habit of taking naps on the weekends and then that just compounds things. When it comes to alcohol, I'm fine throughout the week, but the weekends kill me. I'm thinking about deducting another hundred calories per day to account for the six-pack I always end up drinking on the weekend. I dunno.
Looks like you have identified all the issues you need to take care of to loose the weight. I struggle with the sleep thing too and really I can not go to bed any earlier on a weeknight and feel like I have a life outside of work. 4 10s make for long days and short nights Mon-thurs for this dude. The drinking probably comes with your age, I used to drink allot more when I was your age. Just remember any time you drink you are shutting down your weight loss. Your body really focuses on metabolizing and getting rid of the toxins (alcohol) that you just put in your body instead of burning fat or fuel. If your sitting home alone watching tv drinking then that's borderline alcohol abuse, might want to nix that (bad habit). I only drink in social situations and currently its only allowed on my cheat meal night. I am trying to take pretty extreme measures to loose weight though. Don't get lax man, you know you are not were you want to be yet. Get that camera working, I would love to see what 50+ lost looks like. Keep it rolling man, you are soooo close to Onederland. Plus you don't want this old man to overtake ya do you? ;) I am heading your way weight wise.... You better beat me to the pearly gates of Onederland or I'm gonna get pissed!!! Alright man take care and I will quit rambling.
cool about only drinking with Friends... I guess the way I wrote it it did sound like I was implying you were sitting at home by yourself. I am digging the ballz to the wall attitude. Now get back in the gym/kitchen and show me the way to Onederland!! You can greet me at the gates when I get there.
