When the mood strikes...

Today's Weight: 222.6 lbs
Weight Loss Needed for next goal: 12.6 lbs

Yesterday was a crazy day, weather wise. I was told that I could leave work early, which was awesome because that meant that I would be home before 7 o'clock and would be able to make a good dinner. So I leave work, and head to the gym. Yesterday was my lower body workout, I got a good one in and was going to do a 5 min. cool off before hitting the showers. I go, and put on the end of regulation of the UCONN game. I picked UCONN to win, so when they started doing better and made it into OT, I decided that I wasn't going to get off the elipitcal until the game was over. 30 minutes later....UCONN lost (pissed me off because I had them winning next round too) and I did an extra cardio workout. Given it wasn't HIIT, but still I usually don't do cardio on leg days. After the game, I went and drank my protein shake and showered up.

When I got home I had a really good meal at about 8:45. I cooked a chicken breast with cajuin spices and then had some fresh green beans that were steamed in garlic and lemon juice. Very tasty and if you don't buy fresh veggies, you are missing out because they are SOOO much better than frozen.

Anyways, back to when the mood strikes. My brother and I were watching the NCAA tourney and I realized that I was going to have to make a number 2, and I remembered from this morning that there wasn't any poo paper left, so I asked him if he picked any up. I should have known that he didn't because we seriously got 9-11 inches of snow yesterday and his car was completely covered. So, at halftime I walk down to the corner market and just pick up a 4 pack and as I was leaving I saw a 6-pack of Guinness, and wow did I want to get it. So I was opening the cooler door and then I realized that I didn't need a 6-pack, so I just got a 22oz instead. I'm telling you, it was delicious. I'm not worried about it either, I don't drink hardly at all anymore and I feel that if I totally deprive myself of what I really enjoy that it could lead to a crazy binge and falling totally off the wagon. Needless to say, I enjoyed it drank it slowly and finished the night off feeling slightly buzzed. All from a 22oz of Guinness...it is a lot cheaper to drink when you don't drink 4-6 times a week!

Well, I'm going to get going. Today I'm getting out of work at noon, and then I'm going to go do my ab workout and do 30 min of HIIT. Then I'm going home and watching basketball all day. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING! F SNOW!!

Have a great weekend everyone

Awesome job on your workout, and again on your beer decision!

And yeah, totally sick of snow now.

I thought I read somewhere (maybe have been on someone's blog) that Guinness is great for the caloric options, it's pretty damned low. 22 ounces should do just fine with a heavy beer like that. Now I want one ;P

Yeah, I've "heard" the same things about Guiness. And, seeing how porters and stouts are the only way to roll, that's mighty refreshing!

Howabout an update, Jason? C;mon bud, you can do this!
